FLOG Social/Play Party

Well, we managed to have another great party and everyone has finally settled into our new home and is getting that good familiar feeling, like your favorite pair of shoes. Welcome to all you newcomers and thank you to all of who have been there to support this group from day one.

We've received really positive feedback on the wax demo. Thank you Mistress Velvet and Master Michael for your time and dedication to educating all of us. Everyone seemed to have a clear understanding of the effects of playing with wax, by Master Michael's little imitation (Owwww, MMmmmm). For those that need the information on Missouri Candle and Wax, their St. Louis City number is (314) 241-3544 and their Kirkwood location is (314) 965-6101.

Mistress Velvet graced our Vendor Table again with her gorgeous floggers. She is now providing her work to retail stores from here to Georgia. You can purchase her floggers here at Cheap Trix at the retailer suggested price OR she is offering wholesale prices strictly at FLOG events. These are just to die for!

We had a new vendor offering his pieces to the group. They are wonderful oak and cedar paddles and boy those look like they can do a job. He also had several that were made out of a thick hard poly material. Next time you see Harold, please give him a big welcome to the St. Louis area. He is from the APEX (Arizona Power Exchange) group and we're very happy to be able to act as his surrogate home away from home.

Near the end of the evening, Mistress Velvet's slave announced her departure and we all wished her the best of luck. Joey's significant-other made a delicious cake, decorated with little floggers. She has now been voted as the group's official Cake Decorator. Make sure that she provides us with that recipe at the next party joey!

We will be looking for ideas on more pieces of furniture in the upcoming months. If there is a piece that you think would be a great addition to the group, please let us know. We're always looking for new ideas and would like to get furniture that all of you would enjoy playing on. The new stationary cross worked out very well, as did the new presentation bench.

Many of you have been asking how we are being received in our new home at the VFW Hall. Well, its been going so well that they invited us all to a BIG barbecue in June - watch for details!!

A special note of thanks goes to all of you who helped manage the event. Master Ken, you did a wonderful job as Social Area Monitor and thanks for the great pictures of your puppy (wink). Master John, you did an awesome job at being the Scene Monitor - hope we didn't splash too much wax on you. And a huge thank you to all the girls that handled the important business of nametags and management of the lobby area. You really brighten the entrance with your beautiful smiles. And of course, let's not forget our new Resident Greeter. She's so well rounded...with her abilities, of course! All of you who have given your time and have helped with all the set up, pat yourselves on the back. You are making a difference and helping this group thrive. Thank You!!

Speaking of which, we feel that each and everyone of you has an ability to contribute in your own special way, whether its being able to paint, to demonstrating your favorite knots, or the ability to use an Internet Browser. This is your group, so if you are interested in volunteering, please let us know. We can be reached at: FLOG_StLouis@yahoo.com.

FLOG Social/Play Party

What a great time we all had this last Saturday! The place was buzzing with talk of clamps, whips, and chains...Oh My! As usual we're filling the place to capacity, with between 40-50 people, and all there to play, learn , socialize, and have fun.

We sparked off the evening with an open discussion of "Bondage on a Budget". Joey threw out some ideas to everyone on how to have fun with this lifestyle, without breaking your bank account. You would be amazed with what you can come up with, by going to the Dollar Store, Walmart, or just your average retail store. Some people threw out ideas on how to have fun in your own home, without having a fully equipped dungeon. A rope hung over a door and attached to the door knob was a great idea for immobilizing a submissive, as well as placing them in a bathtub for some interesting water play (yes, the stuff that comes out of your faucet), ice play, and sensual food play. Thanks everyone for your ideas!

Paul brought his gorgeous handmade floggers to the party to show off, as well as sell. For those of you that were disappointed that the local leather supplier was completely sold out, we all know where the stuff went off to now. Paul had some of the fullest and longest horse-hairs that we have ever seen. It's almost a sin to play with these beauties. They are truly a show-piece at the very least. We're looking forward to Paul bringing more of his handiwork to the parties.

A big pat on the back to Buz. For those of you that don't know him, he is a transplant from Texas and has attended only two FLOG parties. Despite his newness to the area and the local scene, it didn't stop him from eagerly offering up a helpful hand to assist with the party where needed. Thank you Buz for stepping up to the plate and helping. It was very much appreciated!

We again tried a new nametag system at this last party. Will we ever get this right??? There was some concern that with the dimmed lighting in the play area, the colored markers were hard to see. The color coded system to reflect a Dominant or submissive still remains, however now a gold colored nametag reflects a Dominant and the blue colored nametag reflects a submissive. This should work better until we get a color blind Dominant that asks TightRope to play...Then it's back to the drawing board!

The discussion topic is open for next month. If any of you have any suggestions on what you'd like to see or discuss, please let us know. We're always looking for new and interesting ideas to share with the group, and even if its something that you have seen before, maybe the rest of the group has not. It can be however simple or complex as need be, and demos are always a plus.

The next FLOG party will be held on June 26th. Again, we're always looking for people who want to lend a helping hand with coordination of the party, and to lead a discussion topic. If you have a willingness to help bring this fabulous event together, let us know. We have a place for everyone!

FLOG Social/Play Party

Fun was to be had by one and all! Despite that we had to share the facilities with another party that evening, we still had the whole 1st floor to ourselves. You know you're in the right place, when another party asks you to join their party to liven things up a bit! Anyone up for doing a theatrical show like The Rack?

We had Sue and eldon in for a display of their highly complex bondage furniture. Everyone enjoyed seeing their unique aluminum chair and how it can be set up to accommodate any sized submissive. We also afforded them with the ability to take pictures of their chair to be used in their brochures. We've hit the big-time now folks! If anyone is interested in this type of furniture, Sue and eldon can be reached at:

Customizable Masterful Equipment (CME)
Phone: 636-939-1053
Fax: 636-477-1371

Due to the additional party that evening, we opted to pull the front desks into the actual play/social room, rather than being in the lobby. This seemed to work well to keep the congestion down in the lobby. It also allowed those that typically stand at the desks, handing out nametags and greeting, the ability to be in the room as well. We're looking at the possibility of doing this at all future parties.

We had the vendor tables all lined up with beautiful handmade pieces. Paul had his gorgeous floggers all laid out. You must see his horse-hair floggers! All of Paul's work can be custom made for you. We again had Harold and his great oak paddles. He has especially made one for FLOG, with the name of the group painted across it. What a terrific gift Harold and Thank You! As mentioned, we had Sue and eldon not only demo'ing their furniture, but vending it as well. We look forward to having them vend at future parties. And last but not least, we had those great single-tails. I'm sure that the new up-and-coming single-tail Doms will be searching you out at the next party!

If you would like to act as a vendor at any of the FLOG parties, please contact FLOG_StLouis@yahoo.com. This will allow tables to be specifically set up for you, in preparation of the evening. FLOG never charges to vend at the parties and you are afforded space for the whole evening to sell. Kitten, we're still waiting to see those candles that we've heard so much about! If you are a distributor or reseller for unique fetish lines, with few items to display, we encourage you to just bring your catalogs for people to browse through.
