Well, with 68 people in attendance, floggers flying, wax a dripping, everyone either chatting, smiling, laughing, screaming, or watching with interest, it appears that FLOG's first party was a hit! Best of all, it all went off without a single complication. A big thanks to everyone who attended! For those of you that weren't able to attend, we will always provide a recap of the party.

Well, the evening kicked off with the setting up of the play area. With all the room that we had, the only quandary that we encountered was, "Should we put the gallows next to the spanking bench or should we put the dual kneeling bench next to the hot wax table?" One thing is for sure, thank god the pieces had wheels on them, so the Dom/mes could push their submissives up and down the center aisle for demos!

Throughout the next few hours, we had a number of exciting scenes, with some using the gallows, others using the spanking bench, and yet others using the new dual kneeling bench built by Paul. We saw floggers, paddles, whips and wax. Goddess Jeanna educated us on how to use Saran Wrap and wax together to form a safe, warm, submissive body wrap, as well as some good tips on beginner bondage. Based on the feedback, we do believe the stores will be running out of Saran Wrap, candles and rope very quickly!

The evening hit a highlight when the clock struck midnight and Master Michael had a birthday. True to his word in an earlier FLOG post, Master Michael agreed to take his whacks like a Big Boy. At the urging of several submissives, Master Michael bent over the bench and offered himself up to a once in a lifetime spanking. Needless to say, he would have faired better if he hadn't provoked the subs. Gee, they have a heavy swing to them when they're worked up!

We saw so many new faces in the group and with the smiles that we also saw, we hope they'll be returning. There were also those that we haven't seen in a very long time. One couple even commented, that it was going to take a special event to draw them back into the scene. We're honored that it was FLOG Welcome back to the family, guys.

Due to the OneList currently in the announcement mode only, we wanted to post some comments that we have received via e-mail. We encourage all of you who attended to send us your feedback. Your ideas and suggestions are critical to making each one of these better and better:

Along with all the favorable responses that we've received, we'd like to also hear suggestions on what we can do to make the gathering even better. Don't worry, we can take it! Remember: this is EVERYONES group, and your input means a great deal, and it will be through your help that we will continue to better the group for everyone. First of all, a big "Thank You" to all of you who helped out with the many tasks that it takes to pull off an event such as the 4th Saturday FLOG party. There is no way that FLOG could function without your caring support and serious dedication to making this event a success, and providing everyone in this lifestyle a open and safe place to gather. It's obvious that you care about the direction of FLOG, and with your continued help and support, we'll all make it happen together. Again, a sincere "thank you" goes to each of you.

It was wonderful to see the new faces in the group. For whatever reason that you had for attending this open event, we welcome you back and hope that FLOG met your expectations. Sometimes it's difficult to read a new person's reaction to such an event, but whether your face indicated awe at the scene play, or shock at realizing that you're not the only one with these desires, we hope that you try us out again. We've become quite use to that "deer in the headlights" look, so next time you come to gather with us, just grab one of the organizer's hand and say, "Take me to your leader"! We'll do everything in our power to make you feel at home.

Mistress Velvet did an excellent job in discussing scene etiquette. Not only did she teach the group about safe play, but she also reminded us that consensual play has its limits as well. She did a wonderful job in acting as Scene Monitor and even took the time out to assist those that are new with their scenes. Her energetic and warm personality really seems to put people at ease and quickly shows her limitless knowledge with this lifestyle. Oh, and let's not forget her "beef-cake" of a slave as one of her attributes. Sorry joey, but your Mistress does a wonderful job at presenting you, and shall we say, all your assets.

Mistress Velvet and slave joey also have shown an incredible ability to make scene toys, ranging from floggers, to cuffs, to paddles. The back table was made available to sell their beautiful pieces and they are honestly comparable, if not better than anything that you will find in any adult fetish store. We're looking forward to seeing more of their work! (Kali digging in her purse..."Damn it, where's my checkbook when I need it"). Don't sell that green one until payday!

Master Randy set out several of his hand-made rope floggers to present to the group the several stages of making this "thumping" wonder. A drawing was held later in the evening for one of these floggers and recipe sheets were made available for everyone who wanted to make one of their own. Thank you Randy for your donation of both your time and the flogger. Funny thing though, we don't remember seeing your submissive help show us how to use one of these. Maybe next time, huh?

To wrap it all up, everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves and were really relaxed. The VFW owners are extremely pleased with FLOG and have booked us for the rest of the year. We're excited to say that FLOG has an established home now and the owners have vowed to do everything they can to keep us coming back. Thanks to all of you, FLOG has good name and has made a positive impression on those that are unfamiliar to this lifestyle.
